We leave the hotel in direction to the coast of the Pacific Ocean until we reach Pomaire, a country village. This typical Chilean village is well-known for its clay creations and its colorful handicraft, very common in the region. Next, we’ll have lunch at a typical Pomaire restaurant (at the expense of the client) which is famous for its Chilean cuisine. Later, we’ll leave for Isla Negra.
When you come to Chile, a visit to the peaceful town of Isla Negra is a must. This place by the sea, located in the central region next to popular sea resorts, inspired the works of Nobel Prize poet Pablo Neruda.
In the house-museum, there are a great number of Neruda’s memoirs, collections, treasures, objects and writings in an environment dense with the magic and the memories of the former consul. For instance, you’ll be able to admire the collection of seashells and figureheads that the poet collected during his travels around the world, as well as his collections of bottles. Finally, we’ll take the highway to Santiago.
